T2 - Extreme DVD (DVD)
(1991) Better than the original, this time the machine has been sent back to save the boy's life from an even more advanced robot. If you ever study screenwriting, this is one of the scripts you will dissect. The technology to do the special effects did not even exist when the screenplay was written; the techniques were perfected as part of the film's creation. Amazing!

Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (DVD)
(2003) If you've read very many of my brief reviews, you know that I don't always have kind words for Hollywood blockbusters. However this may be the Thrillogy of all time, and each movie stands on its own merits. Linda Hamilton is certainly missed here, but the story reaches a logical conclusion and the Fx are, of course, incredible.

I think this is the only toy I have on these pages, but it is too cool not to show here. The attention to detail is unmatched.

A collection of four good action movies - The Running Man and Total Recall are well above average.

True Lies (DVD)
(1994) Another favorite of mine, I loved Jamie Lee Curtis as the wife who finds out her husband is a spy. Tom Arnold gives the only performance of his career that I can bear to watch - he is actually outstanding.

Pumping Iron - 25th Anniversary Edition (DVD)
(1976) Update of the one that started it all. Look how far this once skinny kid from Austria has come - a true inspiration, whether or not you like his politics.

The Sixth Day (Special Edition) (DVD)
(2000) Total Recall, exloring similar themes, is better, but this is a well-crafted, chilling look at a future with human clones.

Total Recall (DVD)
(1990) This isn't just a good a action movie, its a good film, period. A much better screenplay than you find it most movies of this genre. Features Sharon Stone for those of you who like her.

Conan - The Complete Quest (Conan The Barbarian/The Destroyer) (DVD)
(1984) Sometimes a guy wants to kick back with his buds and watch some mindless stuff just for fun. Just to watch a guy like Conan kick serious ass. Perfect for an evening of beer and buffalo wings and (simulated) blood.

I included this inexpensive paperback for those of you who would like to know more about Arnold. Highly recommended for his fans.
