Remember the Titans This is an incredible movie, even more moving than Rudy. Based on a true story, the film tells the story of an interracial high school football team the first year of forced segregation. Every bigot in America should be forced to watch this movie, perhaps it would change a few hearts and minds as happened to several people over the course of this story. Great sports film also, by the way, just as Brian's Song was. |

Man on Fire Denzel plays a bodyguard with a past hired to protect the daughter of a wealthy Mexican. She is kidnapped and Denzel's character seeks his own redeption as well as rescue. |
|
Inside Man Spike Lee film, Denzel plays a NYPD detective after a bank robber. Great cast including Jodie Foster. |
|
The Great Debaters A great film that deserved better at the box office. Based on a true story, underdogs take on the elite Harvard team. Denzel also directed. |

Glory If not the best film about the Civil War, has to be close. Finally the contribution of black Americans is acknowledged in this fine drama. Again, based on a true story. |

American Gangster Denzel plays the real-life criminal Frank Lucas, a Harlem drug dealer. Russell Crowe shines in this film as usual. |
